The SIES Institute of Comprehensive Education was started to meet the increasing demand for Pre-Primary education for teachers. With the mushrooming of nursery schools and with the dearth of adequate training programmes to train the personnel to mould the tiny tots, it was necessary to start a suitable programme. The institute was established in June 1980. From a mere training centre, the institute has established itself as a leading institution for Pre-Primary and Early Childhood Education in the city of Mumbai.
